Through vibrant and evocative murals, work with me to celebrate small town community pride and foster economic revitalization. HASTINGS MURAL
In the heart of Downtown Hastings on the corner of 2nd Street and Hastings, you'll find this postcard-inspired Welcome to Hastings, NE mural. This project was commissioned by the Frahm Bar with generous support from the Hastings Arts Council, The Hastings Community Foundation, The Brenda John Memorial Fund, and The Community Redevelopment Authority.
The mural is roughly 300 square feet, each letter showcasing an area that makes Hastings unique and celebrating the history of our community.
COROZAL JUNIOR COLLEGE
Corozal, Belize
This mural was funded by Hastings College as a thank-you to Corozal Junior College and a celebration of their partnership with teacher-education students at Hastings College. Along with a group of 3 other artists, I researched, designed, and painted this mural in 2012. I spent the majority of my time painting the jungle scene, which you can see in the zoomed detail photo. This kick-started my love of large-scale mural art and the transformative power it can have on a space.
